Now since I was getting feedback, that a lot of people were signing in to the Email notification, but our Followers were not increasing, I had to investigate. FINALLY I figured it out.

Special's in this CFW:

After flashing is complete your phone will start showing you different
notifications. Let it do its work. The phone will restart in the end.
After restart, & waiting for the system to reinstall & re-setup everything
you are all set to go.

What does this mean / Why does it do that?
Simple answer: the flashing file known as UDA, which is later your C:/drive is empty. All files from there are integrated into the ROFS and they get copied to C:\ by a script, showing you some popups while moving along.

This occurs after first boot or a hardreset.

=> Shortly said this CFW is completly hardreset persistant. With filemanager + Delight Backup&Restore you can "reflash" you phone via a 3 Finger Reset on the go.

• in Menu, Tools you will find Delight App which contains our Backup&Restore solution, FAQ and other features, e.g. a MiniCMD launcher. It has an inbuild documentation.

How to flash:
when coming from Delight v1.0/v1.1/v1.2/v1.3/v1.4/v1.4.1 betas:

Flash as you flashed Delight the first time, but this time:

• Without of UDA, that means in the options window where you have to remove the red .eMMC file, also remove *UDA.fspx

• Via "Update Software" instead of Refurbish

• After first boot the Updater will start.

• Select all versions after your last used CFW version.

e.g. start all Updater scripts prompted since your last running version

 
Now you can enjoy all changes without of a Refurbish and losing your drive C:\


You didn't have Delight running before?

Then you have to Refurbish the whole CFW, we modifed the partition sizes so don't try a update flash from other firmwares.

About Delight App

Delight App is our little Delight exclusive tool, it's an update from the old pure MiniCMD based Resolver app by nicesoni_ash.

It's written in Qt, Symbian C++, MiniCMD (for the logic), QtQuick, JavaScript (for the UI) and HTML (for the changelogs and FAQs) and working on Delight only, because of the MiniCMD integration and multiple CFW configs and settings.

The app has grown over the time and got more and more features, I will shortly explain you what they are doing:

(This post based on the current version v1.4.0 final, older versions probably have less features, I will update this post after new features will get added)

• Extras - Here are the main functions of Delight App, it's split into sub functions:
•  Classic Resolver - which is a copy of the original MiniCMD Resolver with a couple of new functions:
• AknIconServer cache Fixer
  Cleans the vector graphic cache of Symbian
• Alarms Fixer
  This will clean all your alarms (not reminders) - use it if you got any issues.
• Browser Fixer
  Reverts all default browser settings
• Camera Fixer
  Reverts all camera settings and modifications
• Cache Claner
  Cleans cache folders and AknIconServer
• Chat Icon
  Resets the top bar chat icon if WhatsApp, Nokia Chat or e.g. Lightbulb have issues with it
• Clean Music and Gallery Library
  Wipes the music player and gallery libraries, after a reboot they will get created again.
• Homescreen&Widgets Fixer
  Resets the homescreen and all widgets, new Z:\ widgets will get recognized
• Menu Fixer
  Reverts all menu layout and folder changes
• Profiles Fixer
  Resets all profile configurations
• Registry Backup/Restore
  Does backup/restore of the SISRegistry
• Registry Fixer
  Triggers the SISRegistry to recognize new manual drive C:\ and Z:\ registry changes
• ROMPatcher Fixer
  Does reset the ROMPatcher config, can be useful ROMPatcher doesn't work anymore (e.g. after a critical crash)
• T9 Fixer
  Resets your private T9 words database
• USB/MTP Fixer
  Causes your PC to reinstall the MTP USB drivers in case they are corrupted
• Widget Fixer
  Works like Homescreen&Widgets Fixer, but your homescreen will stay untouched
• Language and Garbage Cleaner - Here you can delete all unneeded language and cache files, the language files which will get deleted depends on your ROFS2
• Language Changer - If you switch your ROFS2 UI language then launch this script and your phone will automatically update all the translation files which need to get copied to C:\
• My own MiniCMD - MiniCMD is a little scripting "framework" for Symbian
• Reboot the phone - will reboot your phone on a clean and safe way, it fakes a standard language change
• Selector - Which let you switch between different settings or set up configs:

• Aknspasrv - FP2 only
  enabling Aknspasrv consumes a lot of battery
  disabling it (what's default on Delight) saves a lot of battery, fixes possible top bar issues in QtQuick apps but also causes a short blackout after viewing the first image in gallery
• Application caching config
  Here you can choose between different application caching configs, cached apps always stay open and consume RAM, but don't have to start again and again if you need them (as contacts, messages etc. on OFW)
   
• Autostart editor
  
  
  
  This function lets you manipulate the dynamic app startup, you can add, remove and disable processes, take backups of the current state and restore them later
• Camera counter
  Symbian stores the image files with an increasing number in the file name, this function can change the current number
• Debug mode
  More for developers and modders, here you can enable and disable the Extended panic code (C:\resource\Errd) without of using .sis files or file managers.

• FM Transmitter RDS - only for phones which have a FM transmitter
  
  
  Here you can change the default RDS text "Nokia" to a custom one, it's limited to 8 characters
• Hash calculator
  Symbian stores hashes of all :\sys\bin\ files in C:\sys\hash\, if you are modding binaries use this function to calculate new hashes without of any buggy ROMPatcher patches or reinstalling whole .sis files
• Homescreen shortcut captions
  Delight has no captions under homscreen application shortcuts, here you can enable/disable them on the fly
• Keyboard skin - FP2 only
  You don't like the Delight splitscreen keyboard skins?
  Here you can choose between other skins (incl the default skin) or load your own qmltouchinput.dll file
• Keylight - 808 only
  You don't like the disabled red, white and green LEDs? Check this funtion to re-enable them
• Light settings
  
  
  Provides a far more advanced light configuration than the default settings app
• Menu icon layout
  Switch between a 3*4 and 4*5 main menu layout

  Switch between no folders (as on original Belle) or handy folders in your main menu

How To Install Google Keyboard 4 APK From Android 5.0 Lollipop On Any Device

Requirements

• Android 4.0 or above.
• A rooted Android device.
• Google Keyboard from Play Store installed.
• Any root file explorer like ES File Explorer.
• Google Keyboard 4.0 APK file (download here).
• The .so file (download here). 

Instructions

1. Download the Google Keyboard 4.0 APK and ‘.so’ file from the links above and copy the two files to the root of your device.
2. Install the APK using any file explorer, but do not try and use it. It will most likely end up crashing.
3. Using a root file explorer, navigate to /system/lib and backup the libjni_latinimegoogle.so file to a safe location.
4. Copy the download ‘.so’ file and replace it with the one found in /system/lib.
5. Now you need to set the permissions to rw-r–r—.

You can now run the keyboard on your device, just like as if Google had pushed out an update itself. The APK is signed by Google too, so there’s that as well.

If you want to switch themes on the keyboard, simply navigate to Settings > Language & input > Google Keyboard > Appearance & layouts.

How To Recover Lost Data (Root and Non-Root Methods)

Act fast. Lost data is not lost until it is overwritten, so the sooner you attempt recovery the better.

The first thing you should do when you accidentally lost pictures from the card is STOP immediately using the SD. Because any write or edit may cause the lost data become "lost for good" simply due to OVERWRITTEN.

Normal method (Need a computer or laptop)

If you are not rooted, use a third party computer program like Coolmuster or Recuva.

Install the program and connect your Android to your computer with a USB cable or your memory card with a microSD card reader.

Follow the prompts in the program - select where you want to search, what you want to search for and follow the individual program's steps.

Once you get your files back, save them somewhere other than where they were originally lost, in case there is corruption in your device's memory. Once you have them safely saved on your computer for example you can transfer a copy over to your device again.

Rooted method

If you're rooted, thing are a lot simpler.

Install an app like Undelete and follow the prompts. Nothing to it!

If, for some reason, you have root an Undelete is incapable or recovering your lost files you can simply follow the process above and use your computer.

Dropbox Qt problems on Symbian

Hello there,

*Update: FilesPlus got update with a fixed version, you can get it via AppList or meeki.mobi/download

you may have noticed that some Symbian apps like cuteBox, Dropian or FilesPlus can't login into Dropbox anymore.
I recently read multiple reports about this on Delight Blog, Symbian Forums or via Email. Most of them claimed a bug on Delight side, but that's not true:

Some users tested it on original firmware or other custom firmware like The One by Daniel or Mohican by Xeon, all have the same issues, the problem can be a:

a) reboot directly without of a usual shutdown (like a system application crash or stack overflow)
b) like a) but with a reboot loop
c) simple app crash
d) full freeze of the phone

if you try to login with your Dropbox account inside of the apps. Thanks to the testers (like Allstar Software, Ade and Adan from Symbian FTW and Matthew from the comments below) for these information! The mentioned applications are QtQuick based GUI apps which use QtWebKit to show the login page, so the issue must be there.
A reboot can mean a stack overflow, but we don't really know what's the problem without of debugging an own Qt build what's not possible on Symbian. It's not related to JavaScript because it happens even with disabled JavaScript, so it seems to be related to the HTML code.

My guess about this: It seems like it's a QtWebKit bug which was unknown before and recent updates on Dropbox's login page uncoverd it. It affects Symbian Belle Refresh and FP2 and Anna for sure, maybe also s60v5, could somebody check that?

To test your device open this link: https://www.dropbox.com/1/oauth/authorize?oauth_token=sf0AFWhTDbJHtmnU&oauth_callback=&display=mobile (the Dropbox login link of the free app FilesPlus) in a Qt based browser like Star Browser, it will load a bit and than reboot your device. The default Nokia browser or Opera Mobile will show the usual login page without of any issues.

We can hope that Nokia/Microsoft Mobile will bring an update for us, but I doubt that.
Updating Symbian Belle Refresh and FP2 to the latest Qt (Core, GUI, Mobility, Quick, WebKit etc.) versions would require a firmware update -> which means a lot of work -> which means coasts and they probably don't want to spend much money on Symbian. We can see that because they killed the Nokia Internet Radio server, and running this one wasn't expensive for sure, or via the Gallery ShareUI services, which are broken (most of them) and there's still no fix.
Sadly we can't try to compile the latest 4.8.6 for Symbian, because that would require a paid compiler and Symbian Belle PDK, which isn't public.


I only can tell you that the support from our side is still there and that the Delight isn't dead yet. Symbian is still the only mobile phone OS I am using and that won't change in the next weeks, and even after that I don't plan to leave the scene. Updates for the 808 and N8 will come for sure and Eric will care about the other devices and translation in his free time.
